Management believes the Blue Moon deposit is an exceptional zinc asset that has near-term potential to advance to production. The Blue Moon project had modest production during the Second World War (56,000 tons at 12% zinc) and Boliden, one of Europe’s largest zinc producers, did advanced stage work during the 1980s with a goal of putting the project into production. Our management team, who own roughly 22% of the company, intend to finish what Boliden started. Our team includes two members who built or restarted significant mines in California. Lutz Klingmann permitted and built the Soledad Mountain project in 2016 (Golden Queen) and Lawrence O’Connor restarted the Mesquite mine as VP Operations of Western Goldfield (now New Gold).
